The Night Before Christmas

 mar1
Well it looks like this snow is here to stay and it keeps falling.  So to give this a positive spin I like to think it came just in time to take pictures with Marlene’s The Night Before Christmas Quilt by Bunny Hill Designs.    Marlene did change a few blocks and replaced some with blocks from Bunny Hill’s Catch a Christmas Star quilt so it is not exactly like the original pattern.   There are also many buttons that still need to be added to finish off some of the details.

Marlene hand appliquéd all the blocks and did a beautiful job.  There is also some hand embroidery work on this quilt as well.

I had to add some of those new swirls for background fill on a few blocks and used a variety of other fills like loops, curls, stipple, pebbles, wavy lines, cross hatching and straight lines.  SID in the outer border.

  5. What a gorgeous setting to show off that quilt! Can't believe you have snow already! Is that it, are you sowed in for winter now? We're just sneaking towards summer now. Those funny days that start out cool and by lunch time you have to strip off layers of clothes.

Your quilting is perfect for that quilt!

I'm going back for a second look!

    Cheers from down under
