The ice is starting to melt and we have a bit of open water around the dock and shoreline but it will be a week or so before our bay is free of ice.
This is the quilt we made at the last guild meeting for our Twister ruler demonstration. I think the ladies enjoyed using the ruler and seeing how easy it is to use.
Here is the quilt top before cutting with the ruler and then after. There is some fabric lose but the amount of time you save achieving this pattern definitely makes it worth it. And actually the left over fabric didn't go to waste as a guild member who salvaged the scraps from our fabric give-away bin made a lap quilt out of the remnants. We are a frugal bunch!
I quilted it using my Bombay Blossom pantograph and a soft pink So Fine thread.
